North West Regional Conference

The North West Regional Conference will take place at the Mercure Haydock Hotel, St Helens, on 6 July 2024. At the base of the post is a NW Conference invitation for more details on the event and information on how to register to take part.
Each delegate to the North West Regional Conference will need a Delegate registration form so they can indicate room and any special requirements, (you must have valid membership numbers). Spaces cannot be reserved without a completed form which should be returned by e-mail to: rc-northwest@mail.nasuwt.org.u
As in previous years, at Regional Conference we will be holding the Annual NW Regional Awards. We are seeking nominations from Local Associations for the following categories:
NW Representative of the Year
This may be a rep who has been particularly active around a specific school based issue or equally this could be a long serving rep who has served members in a workplace dealing with issues as they arise to prevent escalation.
Northwest Organising Award
This is an award for members who have done an outstanding job recruiting and organising in the workplace. This could be for recruiting a number of members into NASUWT, a school rep leading on a campaign, general organising, such as setting up Whatsapp groups etc.
Northwest Health and Safety Award
This could be pro-actively organising a Health and Safety inspection or going the extra mile to ensure a matter that affects members’ Health and Safety is resolved. This seems particularly pertinent given the hard work that’s been going on in the region over the last few years.
Nominees will be invited to attend the conference and take part in the awards ceremony in the evening. The cost of the nominees’ places will be funded by the Regional Committee budget. If you have any questions regarding the conference please do not hesitate to get in touch.
