Regular Meetings

As a teachers' union we draw our legitimacy from our members. We encourage each school to elect a representative and we encourage all Cheshire members to join our meetings and discuss local priorities.

Action Short of Strike Action

National Guidance on ASOSA.

Your local school representative should support your school by agreeing the 1265 hrs calculation with the SLT team. Local reps should be aware of courses available.

School representative

We are keen to expand the number of trained school representatives across Cheshire East. An NASUWT Representative will deal with Head teacher regarding local, day-to-day issues affecting NASUWT members in their particular school. An NASUWT Representative may, after receiving training, deal with low-level individual cases. An NASUWT Representative can always contact their Local Secretary, National Executive Member or Regional/ National Centre for support, advice and guidance or to deal directly with the Head teacher.
